| Birth: | unknown | | Death: | Jun. 15, 2008 |  Mary Ellen Sabol Durie, 65, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died on Sunday, June 15, 2008, at St. Lucie Medical Center.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mary Ellen graduated from Holy Child Catholic School and Little Flower High School. After high school Mary Ellen married her beloved John and began a wonderful life together.
She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was always proud to speak about her children and their families.
For over 12 years, Mary Ellen worked at St. Mary Medical Center at their switchboard before retiring in 2001. After retiring, she and John moved to Port Saint Lucie, Fla. where she happily entertained her family, especially her grandchildren, and embraced her love of the sun and the beach. Her joyful spirit and loving and giving ways will be deeply missed by her family.
Daughter of the late Matthew and Freda Karthouser Sabol. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, John J. Durie, Jr.; her loving children John J. Durie III and his wife Kim of Chalfont, Jessica Durie of Philadelphia, and Jennifer Money and her husband Keith of Middleburg, Fla.; her sister, Freda Hare of Bensalem. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Edward, Erika, Matthew, Johnny, Madison, and Morgan; and one great-granddaughter, Kylie.
Family will receive friends Friday, June 20, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. until her Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, Pa. 18954. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.
Mass Cards would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, Richboro, Pa.
