Ethel M. Sabol Bensur, age 83, formerly of West 39th, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at Saint Mary's Home at Asbury Ridge. Born in Girard on May 11, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Evans) Sabol. She was a member of the Zukor Club and Blessed Sacrament Church, where she volunteered in the school cafeteria. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and being a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William G. Bensur, in 2002, four sisters, Agnes Gido, Marian Baracka, Margaret "Peg" Kozak, and Julie Chulick, and two brothers, Albert and Andrew Sabol. Survivors include three children, Robert Bensur, wife Barbara, Landisville, Pa., Mary Ann Adams, husband Kenneth, Fairbanks, Alaska, and William G. Bensur, Jr., wife Sally Ann, Pittsburgh, Pa.; five grandchildren, Adele Polson, Rebecca Bensur, Mark Adams and Holly and Will Bensur; two sisters, Ann Winkler, Erie and Elaine Barner, Lake City; two brothers, Frank and Rudy Sabol, both of Girard and many nieces and nephews.
