Jesup, Ga. - Delores Sylvester Martin, 77 of Jesup, Ga. died Friday, April 11, 2014 in Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. The Ware County, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County the past 50 years, was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors are her husband of 37 years, Quentin Martin of Jesup, Ga.; a daughter, Denise Powers of Lakeland, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Derral and Susan Rooks of Dudley, Ga., Leslie and Melanie Rooks of Okeechobee, Fla.; a brother, David Sylvester of Brunswick, Ga.; a sister, Veronica Rooks of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Daniels and Rev. David Bohannon officiating. Interment will be in the George Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Aron Daniels, Dalton Rooks, Dustin Rooks, Bryan Rooks, Ryan Powers and Dylan Brantley.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 P.M. prior to services at the church.
