Louis S. Svacina Jr., 52, of 1325 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died at 8:10 a.m.
Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient six
days.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Wesley Methodist Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald T. Stannard will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Svacina was born June 3, 1912, at Tucson, Ariz., son of Louis S. Svacina Sr.,
and the late Ida Jones Svacina. He came to Manitowoc as a child and lived with
an aunt, Mrs. William Simmer. He attended Manitowoc public schools.
Mr. Svacina married Dorothy Gerl Jan. 21, 1946, at West Palm Beach, Fla., and
the couple resided at Manitowoc. The past 18 years he had been employed as
advertising and display manager at the J.C. Penney Co. Store.
Surviving are his wife, a son, and a daughter, (Survivors omitted for privacy.)
and his father, Louis S. Svacina Sr., of Tuscon.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Sunday until
11:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body
will lie in state from noon until time of service.
