IDA SVACINA
Mrs. Joseph Svacina, 61, of 846 North 19th St., Manitowoc, died Friday at the
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a six weeks illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church,
Manitowoc. Dr. C. H. Phipps will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Svacina was born Ida Strohfeldt in the town of Franklin in 1891 and in
1939 moved to Manitowoc. In 1944 she was married to Joseph Svacina. He died
in 1945.
Survivors are a step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Baroun of Cato; two brothers, Walter
of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, and Richard of Cato sister, Miss Augusta Strohfeldt of
Manitowoc; six grandchildren, a great grandchild.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after Sunday
noon. The casket will be moved to the church at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
