Noah Roosevelt Slaughter, 76, of Belspring, died this morning in a Radford hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mary C. Slaughter of Belspring; one son, Junior Slaughter of Belspring; two brothers, Lowman Slaughter and Herman Slaughter both of Indian Valley; six sisters, Gertha Hylton of Christiansburg and Verlie Hollandsworth, Mable Hollandsworth, Ocie Hollandsworth, Ella Duncan and Eva Higgs, all of Indian Valley. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Belspring Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
