Norma Rectrice Ryerson Braner of Modesto died at Kaiser Medical Center, Sacramento.
Mrs. Braner was a native of Chicago, and had lived in Modesto since 1943.
She was a food processor at S&W Fine Foods for 25 years.
She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and S&W Ladies, and enjoyed baking, knitting and buying gifts.
She is survived by her children, Tom Braner of Fresno and Richard Braner of Modesto; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Braner; one brother; and one sister.Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.

Norma was born in Chicago, Illinois and passed away in Sacramento, CA.
Finishing high school she went on to attend a secretarial school.
At a community dance, she met and later married her loving husband Clyde. They were married for 55 years.
They left Illinois to make a new home in Modesto, CA., where she lived for 62 years.
There they welcomed their sons Tom and Dick and began their life as a family. Her family was her primary focus and her joy.
Norma retired from S&W Fine Foods after 25 years of service. She worked the evening shift so it wouldn't take away time from her children.
She treasured the many friendships she made there and continued to have lunch monthly with the S&W ladies after retirement.
Her hobbies included baking, knitting, and shopping, especially gift buying.
Her most precious time was also spent corresponding with her sister Marge in Ohio & brother Warren in Illinois on an old Remington typewriter.
She was was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, sister Marge Weil of Gahanna, Ohio, and brother Warren Ryerson of River Grove, Illinois.
She is survived by her sons, Tom Braner and wife Nancy of Fresno, CA, Dick Braner and wife Diane of Modesto, CA. Grand- children Todd Braner of Fresno, CA, Julie Finney of Sacramento, CA, Lisa Gregory of Oakdale, CA and Chad Braner of Modesto, CA. Four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Halie, Macie & Claire.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 12th at 1:00pm-8pm, Salas Brothers 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto.
Funeral Service on Monday Feb. 13th, 2:00pm at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 324 College Ave, Modesto.
Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
