Ione V. Beck, 83, of Mount Morris, died Monday, February 27, 2006 in her home. Born August 17, 1922 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Olaf and Olga Thoreson Ryan.
Ione had lived in Mt. Morris since 2002, moving from Waukegan, and was of the Lutheran Faith. She had previously worked with the mentally handicapped in Oswego and volunteered at Mercy Center Health Care in Aurora.
Survived by daughters, Diane Tetrault of Milwaukee, WI, Janice (Van) Adams of Waukesha, WI, and Marcia Bradlee of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Allan and Tim Tetrault, Dawn Werner and Ryan Adams; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lorrayne Seppala of Waukegan.
Preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2006 in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregan with Rev. Lora Zink, pastor Disciples United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris, officiating, preceded by visitation from 12:00 noon to service time. Burial in Forrest Hills Cemetery, Durand, Wis. Memorials may be sent to Ogle County Hospice, P.O. Box 462, Oregon, IL 61061.
