Paul was born February 2, 1930 in Port Chester, New York to John and Adele Ryan. He graduated from New York State College of Forestry with a B.S. in General Forestry and a M.S. in Wildlife Management. Paul worked in the U.S. For- est Service in Macon, Georgia from 1962 until his retirement in 1985. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Paul attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Macon, Georgia, and was a member of the Macon Concert Band.
Paul is survived by his two brothers, Roger Ryan of Corvallis, Oregon and William Ryan of Chesterfield, Virginia.
Interment will be at the Cemetery of the Gate of Heaven in Hawthorne, New York.
