The Rev. Wayne A. Lutz and the Rev. Garnet O. Adams will officiate at services in St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ, Wernersville. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. The Lamm and Witman Funeral Home, Wernersville, has charge of arrangements.
Born in Lower Heidelberg Township, a daughter of the late Edwin G. and Emma E. (Moyer) Ruth, she was preceded in death by two husband, Dr. C. S. Rber in 1930, and Clarence Hess in 1963.
A member of St. John's Church, Mrs. Hess was a 50-year member of the board of managers of Bethany Children's Home, Womelsdorf, and president of its women's committee.
An 1899 graduate of Keystone Normal School and a former teacher, Mrs. Hess was also affiliated with the Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society of Huguenots.
Surviving are two sisters, Laura Ruth, Pottstown, and Mrs. Katie Zechman, West Lawn.
