THE DEATH OF LYDIA E. BARTHOLOMEW
Mrs. Lydia E. Bartholomew, widow of Samuel Bartholomew, died last Friday morning at her home in Stockwell after an illness of six weeks. Her husband died March 25. She was born at Gallipolis, Ohio, August 13, 1863, daughter of John and Nancy (Campbell) Russell. She married Mr. Bartholomew on December 23, 1886, and lived in the Stockwell community ever since. She was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors are two sons, Lee Bartholomew, of Lafayette, and Hobart Bartholomew, of Detroit, Mi.; one daughter, Mrs. Maude Rebman, of Mulberry; one brother, Frank Russell, of Stockwell; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Taylor, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Belle Williams, of Mulberry, and Mrs. Mary Bartholomew, of Stockwell; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Stockwell Methodist church Sunday afternoon, with Rev. C. V. Roush officiating; burial in Stockwell cemetery.
