Mrs. Elizabeth Rumley Anderson, 83, widow of Egbert Anderson, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Forsyth County to Eugene W. and Carrie Parrish Rumley. Mrs. Anderson was a resident of Britthaven of Kernersville and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Survivors include one sister, Ruth R. Weavil of Winston-Salem; three brothers, Richard Rumley and wife Violet and Robert Rumley and wife Elizabeth, both of Winston-Salem, and E.W. Rumley of Rural Hall; five nieces; and four nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Vogler & Sons Main Street Chapel by Dr. Guy Hipp. Burial will follow in King Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
