Mrs. Kim Renee Langrehr of rural Nashville, IL, departed this life at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 12:45 P.M. She had attained the age of 54 years, 10 months and 21 days.
Mrs. Langrehr was born on July 5, 1957 the daughter of Robert and Valeria (Althoff) Rueter. She was babptized on August 11, 1957 and she was confirmed on April 4, 1971 both at the St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden, IL. Kim was united in marriage to Robert Langrehr on November 29, 1980 and he survives her passing.
Kim lived her entire life in Washington County, IL. She graduated from St. John's Lutheran School, Nashville Communuity High School and Kaskaskia College. For many years, Kim was a Sunday School Teacher and an officer of the AAL and Thrivent Branch. She also served as Covington Township Supervisor for 22 years. Her entire professional career, almost 35 years, was spent working for Farmers and Merchants National Bank in Nashville, IL, where she cherished her coworkers and customers, and she loved them just as much as her family. Kim loved being a partner and working on the family farm. She especially enjoyed the dairy cows and her pets. She found great joy in helping others. Every year she would rewrite the names on a new calendar so she would not miss sending a card on someone's birthday or anniversary. Kim was overwhelmed and so grateful for the more than 200 cards she received during her illness. God bless you all for sending them and be assured she will be at heaven's door waiting to greet you, thank you, and help you once again. Kim lived her life serving the Lord, her family, friends, and St. John's Lutheran Church
