A private committal service was held Friday, May 31, 2002 for Jean A. Leitch, age 70, of Bloomington, IL at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Fr. David Heintz of Hold Trinity Church, Bloomington, IL, officiating. Mrs Leitch passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 3:18 am in her home. East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, IL is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include four daughters, Catherine (Steve) Mahon of Beaverton, Oregon, Carol Miller of Normal, Laura Leitch of Madison, WI. and Angela (Christopher) Budzius of St. Paul, MN. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mark Miller, Carolyn Mahon, Scott Mahon, and George Budzius. Five brothers and four sisters also survive. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Margaret Rose Leitch. Mrs. Leitch was born February 6, 1932 in Kalamazoo MI, the daughter of Fred and Grace (Cook) Ruess. She married Kenneth Leitch o June 18, 1955 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Otsego, MI. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts Degress in 1954. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi, a National Honor Society in education. She taught at schools in Michigan and Florida. Mrs. Leitch was a member of Holy Trinity Church and a volunteer in various church, school and community organizations. She worked at Bergner's Departmet Store until 1990 leaving due to illness.
