Shirley Katherine Caler, 54, of Freedom, died unexpectedly, Monday, April 7, 2014. She was born September 3, 1959, in Sewickley, daughter of the late Ernest and June Ruckle. During her years of employment, Shirley worked with a cleaning company providing service to office and residential clients. When health permitted, Shirley always enjoyed tending to a garden.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 27 years, Donald P. Caler; one son, Benjamin Caler, Freedom; one daughter, Jessica Caler, Washington, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Carol Ruckle, Economy, and her dear niece, Dawn Renee Antoon, New Sewickley.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A brief Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. with the visitation continuing until 7 p.m. In honor or her wishes, cremation arrangements are entrusted to Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory and name may be directed to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
