SHANNON TEAL RUBY ROBINSON
Shannon T. Robinson age 51, of Leander was called home to heaven Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Shannon was born September 6, 1961 in Tyler, Texas to Roger M. and Glenda Ruby. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler and held a degree in Finance from the University of Texas/Austin. She married Roger Robinson May 5, 1990 in Austin. Together they have two daughters, Taylor and Morgan Robinson.
Shannon worked as an Instructional Aide for the SEL program in LISD at Cox and Reagan Elementary schools. A loving wife and devoted mother, Shannon was a dedicated volunteer at her daughters' schools and activities including the Vista Ridge High School band, Soccer and Project Grad programs. She served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 13 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Round Rock.
In true Girl Scout tradition Shannon was friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong. She truly made the world a better place for all those who knew her. Shannon loved to travel and visited the World Girl Scout Centers in England and Switzerland. Her scrapbooks are filled with pictures of her family, friends and travels. Her smile and gentle nature will live in our memories forever.
Shannon is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, Roger, her beautiful daughters, Taylor and Morgan, her mother, Glenda Ruby (Tyler), brother and sister-in-law Dr. Britt Ruby and Lynette Ruby (Tyler), sisters Frances Ruby (Bastrop) and Marnelle Ruby (Troy), niece Kyndall Semones (Houston) and nephew Chase Ruby (Ft. Worth), and her uncle and aunt, Benji & Dorothy Ruby (Hillsdale, KS) and several cousins.
