Ethel M. Armstrong, 83, of Atkinson, IL died Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at her home.

The former Ethel Rounds was born April 28, 1924 in Toulon, IL, the daughter of James and Edna Cox Rounds.

She was educated in Toulon area schools. Her marriage to Kenneth Armstrong took place in 1948 in Kahoka, MO. He died in October of 1983.

Ethel worked as a nurse's aid in area nursing homes and private residences.

Her hobbies include walking and dancing, and she loved country and gospel music and visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol L. Armstrong, Colorado Springs, CO, Beverly M. Armstrong, Atkinson, and two sons, Jerry Armstrong, Atkinson, Wayne Armstrong, Mineral. Also surviving are four sisters, Anna, Karen, Phyllis, Margaret, and five brothers, David, Lawrence, Jim, John, and Gene.

Her parents, her husband, a great granddaughter, and a brother preceded her in death.

Burial is planned for the LaFayette Cemetery, LaFayette, IL.
