Mrs. Barras, the daughter of the late Leodias Rouly and the former Elia Theall was a lifetime resident of Lafayette. She was married to Charles J. Barras, Jr. on October 13, 1931.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Barras Vidrine and husband, Dennis J. and Jeanette Barras Rush and husband, Warren D.; eight grandchildren, Charles M. Rush and wife, Carla S., Gina Rush Calogero and husband, David, James Alexander Rush and wife, Kourtney B., Jeanette Rush Alford and husband, David, Robert Lawrence Rush, Denise Vidrine Torian and husband, Robert, William Charles Vidrine and wife, Marilyn Y. and Kenneth Wayne Vidrine and wife, Annette S.; nineteen great-grandchildren, David Alexander Calogero, Andrew Warren Calogero, Jon Tyler Rush, Nicolas Charles Rush, Josha Deason Rush, Eric Anderson Alford, Patrick Rush Alford, Alison Jeanette Alford, Olivia Estelle Rush, Graham Alexander Rush, Molly Catherine Torian, Christopher John Torian, Ross Joseph Torian, Sydney Marcelle Vidrine, Addison Marie Vidrine, Courtney Alexandra Vidrine, Katherine Lindsey Vidrine and Kenneth Wayne Vidrine, II.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles J. Barras, Jr.; three brothers, Alexander P. Rouly, Whitney Rouly and Elmo Rouly; two sisters, Eramance Rouly Chastant and Heloise Rouly Landry, and one great-grandchild, Robert Maxwell Torian.
Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of service at the Delhomme Bertrand location.
Pallbearers will be Charles M. Rush, James Alexander Rush, Robert Lawrence Rush, William Charles Vidrine, Kenneth Wayne Vidrine, David Calogero, David Alford and Robert Torian.
Readers for the Mass will be Dennis Vidrine and Warren Rush.
