Such an occasion, the present. Again has a great affliction fallen upon the family of Joseph Johnson, in the death of a dutiful wife and mother - in the demise of one universally respected for her many graces of character. It is but natural that the sympathies of our whole people should be moved; if not by a personal loss of every household, at least by a profound appreciation of the personal loss. And in this hour of bereavement, though not unlooked for, has brought the condolence of the entire community. She was married to Joseph Johnson December 8, 1853, and lived a consistent church member until her death.
