Abraham Roudebush died Thursday evening of congestion of the lungs, at the ripe old age of 85 years, 6 months and a few days. The remains were interred at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Disciple Church, where he had worshiped as a member for over 60 years.
September 17, 1840, he was married to Margaret Easterday who bore him nine children as follows;

Mrs. William V. Figley,
Christian E.,
William R.,
John J.,
Jehu,
Jesse,
Solomon E.
The mother died in 1864, and fifteen months later he was married to Miss Sophia Miller who still survives. Of a large family he has two brothers, Samuel in Kansas and Jesse in Indiana; also one sister, Mrs, Sarah J. Marshall. Mr. R. owned a large farm on which he built a brick house and a large barn. His father moved here from Washington County, Pennsylvania in 1820 when deceased was an infant.
