Mrs. Isabel R. Ambrose, 69, of 396 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon died at 2:20 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 25, 1967, in the J.C. Blair memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. She had been in failing health for the past nine months.
Born September 20, 1906 in Armstrong County, she was a daughter of John and Eleanora (Edington) Roudabush and was united in marriage to George A. Ambrose who preceded her in death in 1960.
Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. John F. (Ellen) Dougherty, Huntingdon and four grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wintgens and Mrs. Catherine Lukens, both of Ford City, also survive.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ford City and while in Huntingdon, she attended the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Huntingdon.
Prior to her illness, she worked for the Catholic Charities in Kittanning.
Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 27 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ford City. The Rev. Fr. Paul J. Wilsman will be the celebrant. Interment will be made in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Kittanning.
Friends will be received at the Welch funeral home, Ford City on Wednesday evening, Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Haverstock memorial home, McConnellstown, is in charge of the funeral services.
