William Thomas Rothwell was the son of Waller Rothwell and Annis Mae Galloway. William married Amanda J. Gibson in 1868 and their children included Wm Lewis, Geo W., Joseph Walter, Susan G., Robert and Agnes. Apparently William moved his family briefly to Texas in the late 1870's as Amanda's last child, Agnes was born in Texas. Perhaps Amanda died in Texas shortly after Agnes was born. Amanda may be buried there as her grave hasn't yet been located. After Amanda died, William T. married Sarah Rebecca Files and their children included Jesse Guy, Richard Francis, Ruel Leslie and Abner Lee.
