Robert H. Rothrock III, 77, of Mount Wolf, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday at the SCCI Hospital at Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg. He was the husband of Vickie (Hill) Rothrock and of Betty May Rothrock, who died in October of 1992.
The service will be noon Wednesday at the Diehl Funeral Home and Cremation Center Inc., 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York Township, with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rothrock was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Weatherly. He was the son of the late Grace (Kenyon) and Robert Rothrock II.
He worked for Caterpillar, retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. He was a 1941 graduate of Weatherly High School; a member of Susquehanna Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2493 and Otterbein United Methodist Church, both in Mount Wolf; and a volunteer at Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Rothrock also is survived by a son, Robert Rothrock IV of Red Lion; a daughter, Lynn DiFerdinando of Downingtown; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Rothrock was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Fry.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Wayne F. Heberlig.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
