She was born on June 14, 1922 in Paris, Texas to Alfred Jack Rosson and Lucy Parchman Rosson, she was the second of 7 children. She married Paul Vernon Culbertson on July 3, 1943, while he was stationed in Paris at Camp Maxey. Together they had one son, Robert Paul Culbertson of Paris.
She attended Adams School and graduated from Paris High School. She also attended Paris Junior College. After graduation she worked at the Lamar Creamery before marrying. As a career Army officer's wife she had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States and the World. She enjoyed collecting bells, doing all sorts of crafts and playing games, especially Bridge and Pinochle.
She was devoted to her family and was loved by all. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Vernon Culbertson; her parents; two sisters Dorothy Baker and Virginia Jones and a sister who died at birth; three brothers George, Glenn and Walter Rosson, four nephews and one great niece.
She is survived by one son, Robert and his wife Sharon; three grandchildren Paul D. Culbertson and wife Suzanne, Cheryl L. Garrison and husband Bobby, and Sarah G. Griffis and husband Paul; seven great grandchildren, Wesley and Will Culbertson, Brock and Brady Garrison, Kyle, Kayla and Gaige Griffis all of Paris.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Jones, Jimmy Rosson, Terry Rosson, Jay Jones, Bill Kelly Jones and Bobby Garrison.
