BETTENDORF -- Marie Janet Bradley, 82, Tucson, Ariz., former longtime Bettendorf resident died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, in the loving company of her husband and children.

There will be no public visitation. Friends and family are invited to a memorial Mass 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf. A private inurnment and graveside committal service will be held before the Mass at Davenport Memorial Park.

Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service in Davenport is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Janet Rossi was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Chicago, the daughter of Albert and Antoinette (DiSalvia) Rossi. It was there that she married Frank J. Bradley on Sept. 5, 1938. The two shared a long and loving relationship since adolescence that spanned 64 cherished years.

Marie enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing, golfing and time shared with friends and family. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church and Lady Knights of Columbus Council 8077, both in Tucson.

She was a former member of Davenport Country Club, Davenport Newcomers Club, Our Lady of Lourdes choir and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and was active in the mother's guild of The Villa de Chantel, Rock Island.

Marie exemplified strength, determination, loyalty and generosity. She valued friendship and her family's rich legacy. At age 78 Marie authored an Italian cookbook of family recipes. She was a role model to those who knew her and nurtured family values all her life.

Memorials may be made to Scott County VNA Hospice Association.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; daughters, Helene Kamon, Atlanta, Ga., and Patricia Bereskin and Michelle Bradley, both of Bettendorf; a brother, Richard R. Rossi, Lombard, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Antoinette "Betty" Rossi.
