Alline Rosser, 95, of Amarillo died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, in Panhandle.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Smyer and Monsignor Waldo officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Miss Rosser was born in Alexandria, La., on Dec. 12, 1907. She resided in Hale County, Plainview and Kress before moving to Amarillo in 1946. She had resided at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle since 1993. She worked at Vetesk and Merriman's grocery stores, and was a cashier at St. Anthony's Hospital cafeteria before her retirement.
She was a longtime member of Business and Professional Women's Club, holding several offices and was selected as Woman of the Year. She was also a longtime member of St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary. She belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo.
Survivors include her nieces, Delores Miller of Clifton, Diane Young of Dallas, Rose Reddick of Huntington Beach, Calif., Carolee Townsend of Compton, Calif., Mary Mickelbart of Lawndale, Calif., and Emily Dowdy of Lakewood, Colo.; and nephews, Miller Maddox Jr. of Norman, Okla., Jack Rosser of Dallas, Jim Buhrkuhl of Big Spring, George Buhrkuhl of Flower Mound and David Buhrkuhl of Tyler.
