"Mrs Rhoda E. Barrett, 67, of Chandler, passed away Friday morning, November 3, in the Medco Center in Chandler where she had resided since August. She suffered a stroke in May and her condition gradually worsened until her death. Mrs Barrett was born June 16, 1905 in Lockhart township near Stendal, the daughter of Jack and Ida Woolsey Ross. She married Isaac T. Barrett December 21, 1921 in Pike County. They had observed their Golden Anniversary last December with their entire family and a host of friends."
"Mr and Mrs Barrett moved to Denver, Colorado in 1958 where they were employed in the school system. They returned to Chandler in 1965 where they retired."
"Surviving are five daughters, Elizabeth Ann Barrett ...; Mrs Bob (Carol Jean) Cocrn ..., Mrs R. E. (Beaulah) Brenton ..., Mrs Charles (Joann) Cook ... and Mrs James R (Naomi) Gentry ...; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Ross of Stendal and a nephew, William A Ross ..."
"Funeral services were held at Bethel General Baptist Church near Stendal, Monday afternoon, November 6, with the Rev. Lawrence Curry and the Rev. Joel Evans officiating. Burial was in Barrett Cemetery near Stendal."
