Gertrude Berniece Ross Harper, 86, of 124 Eastland Dr., died at 8:30 AM Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1992 in Murdock Manor. She was born April 4, 1906, in Tippecanoe County and was a lifelong county resident. She married Leroy Harper, April 2, 1927, in Lafayette. She graduated from West Lafayette High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Harper had been a member of First Christian Church for more than 50 years. Surviving are her husband, a son, Robert Leroy Harper of Yorktown, NY; two granddaughters, Cynthia Kay Tucker of Swain, NY, and Janet Harper Schriber of Marina del Rey, CA; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Carlton, Aaron Robert, and Devon Kay Tucker. Service Aug. 21 in Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Jack L. Snellgrove officiating. Entombment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
