Mrs. Christina Ross, 86, of 235 Southwood Dr., died this morning in Elyria Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
She was born in Italy, Jan. 15, 1891, and lived in Elyria 57 years. She was a member of St. Mary Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Carmella) Larizza, Elyria, and Katherine Ross, at home; four sons, Rocco and Nick, Elyria; James P. at home; and Casey, Cleveland; three sisters, Mrs. Joe (Rose) Bennett, Mrs. Victoria Compollo, and Mrs. Catherine Basilone all of Lorain; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1975; and by two sons and a daughter.
Friends will be received at the Laubenthal Funeral Home tomorrow from 7 to 9, and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A wake service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Church.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Bittner DeCarlo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
