Mrs. Mary Mantin (nee Ross), 80, of 1025 West Erie Ave., Lorain, resident of the community 62 years, died this morning at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain, after an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Mantin was born in Whitehall, N.Y. and lived in Elyria before moving to Lorain. She was a member of St. Peter Church, Abruzzi Club, Lorain Women's Democratic Club, and Golden Agers. Her husband, Primo, died in September 1969.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank J. (Clara) Horvath Sr. of Lorain; two sons, Aloysius F. Mantin, Lorain and Edward R. Mantin Sr., Elyria; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and five brothers and three sisters all of Elyria.
Friends will be received today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Reidy-Scanlan Funeral Home, Lorain.
Services will be tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at noon at St. Peter Church with the Rev. Joseph C. Step officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
