Viola Ross House, an Albuquerque resident since 1944, died on 2/10/86. She was born in Claremore Indian Territory (now Okla.) Sept. 20, 1901. She was retired from the Air Force Exchange System at Sandia Base where she made many friends. She loved New Mexico, reveling in the eternal beauty of the landscapes, blue skies and warm climate. Preceded in death by her husband H. H. "Chick" House, she will be missed by family, two sons, a daughter and grandchildren, friends and many who knew and loved her. Known also as "Grandma Sadie", all say to her "So long Grandma, thanks for being with us for all this time. We will remember you and may God bless you." Services will be in the Chapel of Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Feb. 13 at ll:00 a.m. with Rev. Gerald White officiating. She will lie in state from early afternoon until 9:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald's Mortuary on Feb. 12.

Viola was the daughter and only child of George Farnsworth and Cora Jane (Justus) Ross. Viola and Chick eloped to Bartlesville, Washington County, Oklahoma to marry 20 August, 1922.
