Lillian J. Denisco, 85, of West Pittston, died Friday, November 26, 2010, in Kindred Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Jessup, on August 22, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Ferranti Rosetti.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish/Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston.
Lillian attended Marywood College and was a graduate of Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a member of the Golden Age Club, Pittston Senior Center and the Italian American Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel, who died in 1998; and brothers, Roland and Paul. Lillian took great joy in being with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Surviving are sons, Anthony Denisco and his wife, Carmella, of West Pittston, and Samuel and his wife, Ann Marie, of Laflin; daughters, Mariel Bufano and her husband, Thomas, of Exeter, Pauline Albano and her husband Peter, and Susanne Mullin, both of West Pittston; brother Joseph, of Connecticut; sister, Thelma Petrilak, of Virginia; as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from Anthony Recupero Funeral Home, West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church.
Interment will be held in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
