Jannie McKinney, York County Native
-- ROCK HILL - Mrs. Jannie Roseboro McKinney, 104, of 1210 Camden Ave. in High Point, N.C., died July 2, 1989, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Pineville African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Pineville with the Rev. Lawrence Curtis and the Rev. Eugene Goodwin officiating. Burial is in Barber Memorial Cemetery in Rock Hill. The body will lie in state, beginning at 1 p.m. Robinson Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. McKinney was born in York County and attended public schools there. She was a former member of Pineville A.M.E. Zion Church.
She was a member of First Emanuel Baptist Church in High Point, where she was mother of the church, a member of Missionary Circle No. 2, a member of the Emanuel Spiritual Singers and a member of St. Stephen's adult day care center.
Survivors are her son, William Roseboro Jr. of Greensboro; daughters, Mrs. Felo Hinnie of Winston-Salem, Marie Geter of Philadelphia, Christine Hardin and Mary Watts, both of High Point, and Lula Ross; sister, Mrs. Maggie Lowery of Winston-Salem; brother, Roosevelt Gettys; 70 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-great-grandchildren.
