Dolores was born Dolores Osman, daughter of Albert "Ted" Dwight Osman and Alphreta D. Osman (nee Sallade).

After her mother she was raised by her paternal aunt Audrey Fae Rose (nee Osman) and her husband Albert Henry Rose. Family legend is that they adopted her.

Dolores married first to William J. Assel. They had two sons: William J. Assel (1952-2004) and Kenneth Paul Assel. Dolores and William's marriage ended in divorce.

She married second to Daniel E. Cassidy (1931-1979). They had one daughter, Darla Jean.

Mrs. Cassidy, WEIRTON--Mrs. Dolores Assel Cassidy, 46, wife of Daniel E. Cassidy of 232 N. 10th St., died Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. where she was a patient for 5 weeks.
Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Mrs. Audrey Taylor of DuBois, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Darla Jean) Paar of Weirton; two sons, James Assel of New Cumberland and Kenneth Assel of Weirton; a brother, William Osman of DuBois, Pa., and a grandchild. Mrs. Cassidy was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Steubenville. Friends may call at the Presley Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday; Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul`s Catholic Church; Rev. Fr. Harold W. Moore; Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee.

Dolores Cassidy was not found at this cemetery. They said that maybe when Route 2 upgraded she was moved.
