Luda (Rice) Ropp, 92, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Urbana, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:15 PM in the St Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. She was born June 27, 1915 in Johnson County, KY, a daughter of John and Chattie (Van Hoose) Rice.
She retired from Bulldog Electric in Urbana.
Survivors include two daughters; Juanita Francis of Springfield and Barbara Kite of Lexington, KY, a son, John G Ropp of Raleigh, NC, ten grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd H Ropp, her parents, a daughter Darlene Caryl, a sister Mabel Jinks, and two brothers; John Rice, Jr and Ernest Rice.
The family will receive friends 2:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2008 in the WALTER SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, March 3, 2008 with Rev Clifford Kissinger officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
