Walter Ross Ropp, Sr. of Deer Creek OK died wednesday afternoon, Feb.4, in the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey OK. He was 97
The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. saturday in the First Christian Church at Deer Creek .The Rev Tuney Ropp will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Cementery at Nardin Ok. Under the direction of Hackler-porter Funeral Home of Blackwell.
Mr. Ropp was born Jine 1,1889 at Halstead. KS, the son of
William Andrew Ropp. and Margaret Ellen (Parks) Ropp.
He has been a resident of Deer Creek since 1960, moving from Dewey.
He married Bettie Sue Haggard April 13,1910 in Independence, KS she died in 1969.
Surviving are five sons, Ray R.Ropp of Bartleville, OK. Walter Ropp Jr. Deer Creek ,OK. George Ropp of Dewey , OK. Carl Ropp of Dewey, OK. and John Ropp Sr. of Blackwell.
one daugther Florence Jackson of Bartlesvillie, OK.
and many grandchildren and great grandchildren
He was proceeded in death by his parents , his wife three sons Willam O.Ropp, Clarence Henry Ropp, Edward Ropp and two daughters Bettie mae Ropp and Martha Jane Ropp.
