Gloria San Roman, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, in Raton. She was born July 26, 1925, the daughter of Dario and Julia (Leija) San Roman. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arthur Lopez and Isidore San Roman, sister Amelia San Roman and sister-in-law Betty Jean San Roman.
Gloria was a resident of Raton and bartended at the Silver Dollar for 33 years. She was involved in the VFW Auxiliary and was a member of St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Raton.
She is survived by her sister Nellia Avila and husband Bernard of North Hollywood, Calif., brothers David San Roman and wife Concha of Raton, Pete San Roman and wife Laura of Chino Hills, Calif., Gilbert San Roman and wife Betty of Raton, Richard San Roman and wife Berniece of Whittier, Calif., and Joe San Roman and wife Anna of Torrance, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary Devotional Service will be held Monday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Michael DePalma as the celebrant. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.
