Daughter of John Roller and Minerva J. Laughlin.
Mrs. Belle Cox 78, died at 6:10 a.m. today at the Boley Nursing Home. She had been in failing health since 1953 Belle Roller was born Oct. 19, 1882 at Powell, Mo., and she grew to womanhood there.
On March 1, 1903 she married William S. Cox at Garfield, Ark. They established their home there, later moving to Mounds, Okla., and in 1921 to Altamont. In 1941 they moved to the Dennis area, where Cox died July 2, 1943. She came to Parsons in 1944. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Duck creek, Okla.
Survivors include a son Gus Cox of Thayer; a daughter, Mrs. Lena Wadsworth of Mound Valley; two brothers, Will Roller, Mounds, Okla., and Andrew Roller, Chehalis, Wash; six grandchildren. and nine great-grandchildren, Ten sisters, seven brothers and a daughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at the Blossom Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Monday conducted by the Rev. Vern Clifford. Burial will be in the Mound Valley Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home.
Casketbearers were her grandsons: Virgil Cox, Glenn Wadsworth, Marvin Wadsworth, Jim Wilkerson, Max Wehling, and Leon Ellis. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Marjorie Ringle, Mrs. Pauline Lahay and Mrs. Charles Freeman. "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "In the Garden," "God Be With You Till We Meet Again," were sung by Mrs. Juanita Likins, Mrs. Clydene Sneadier. G.O. Gieger and Charles Hucke.
