Mrs. Rachel Allison, wife of Capt. Geo. W. Allison, died at the family home one-half mile north-west of Nashville, after an illness of one week. She was 77 years of age. She was the mother of Alonzo Allison, editor and publisher of the Brown County Democrat. She was survived by the husband and nine children -- Alice Fowler, Indianapolis; Rachel Watts and Nellis Gaston, Columbus; Adelaide Jordon, Indianapolis, Madie Rogers, Springdale, Missouri; Orion Allison, Indianapolis; William Allison, Vevay; George Allison, Bartholomew county, and Alonzo Allison, Nashville.
