Jacqueline J. Rogers 64, Russiaville, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care. She was born in Kokomo on Oct. 19, 1948, to the late Earl and Alberta Glassburn (Beatty). Her marriage to Charles D. Rogers, who preceded her in death, was on Sept. 1, 1967.
Jacqueline was a 1966 Kokomo High School graduate. She worked at Chrysler and Elwood Haynes School. She was a member of First Church of God. She enjoyed baking, crossword puzzles, being outdoors, spending time with family, and watching her grandsons' ballgames.
Survivors include two daughters, Angie Smith (Andy) and Carrie Herren (James); three brothers, Wes Glassburn, Gary Glassburn (Anna), and Gale Glassburn (Kim); three sisters, Amelia Doty, Judy Guerre (Bill), Janet Bale (Jim); five grandchildren, Adrienn Rogers (fiancÚ Andrew Snowden), Katie Rogers, Carley Smith, Alex Herren, and Brody Herren; and one great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Rogers; and two sisters, Jill Glassburn and Linda Smith.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Services will follow at noon, also at the mortuary, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Spangler. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery.
