Statesboro - Lerline Rogers Brannen, 86, died March 24 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital. The Bulloch County native was a retired registered nurse, having worked for 43 years at hospitals in Jacksonville, Fla., Savannah and in Statesboro at Bulloch County Hospital (now Bulloch Memorial). She also worked at the office of doctors: C. E. Bohler, Albert Deal and Johnny Deal. She was a member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church where she had been in Faith Bible Study class and the Ladies Circle.
SURVIVORS: a son Mitchell Stephen Brannen II of Kennesaw; two sisters, Merle Morris of Brunswick and Sarah Lanier of Brooklet; two grandchildren, Leah Brannen of Jacksonville, and Thomas W. Franklin Brannen III of Austell; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 3:30 p.m. today at Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home, burial in Brooklet City Cemetery.
