Mrs. Grace Bridges, 85, of Lakeview Avenue, Griffin, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999 at the Spalding Regional Hospital. Mrs. Bridges was born in Monroe County, daughter of the late William Rogers and the late Maude McDonald Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Bridges. She was retired form Dundee Mills # 2.
She is survived by daughters, Peggy Joyce Fouts of Zebulon, and Nancy Crane of Evans Mills, N. Y., sons and daughter-in-law, Preston and Shirley Bridges of Jenkingsburg, and Dannie E. and Janice Bridges of Ft. Walton, Fla. Other survivors include a sister, Beatrice McLean of Rome, a brother, T. L. Rogers of Griffin, 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Bridges will be conducted Friday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The Rev. Alvin Crews and the Rev. Preston Bridges will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family this evening from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of T. L. Rogers, 100 Byway Road, Griffin. McCullough Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
