Charles H. Rogers, 72, 1703 E. 16th St., died early Sunday morning at Ball Hospital following a five months illness.
A native of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Rogers moved to Muncie in 1940. After 20 years of service, he retired from Muncie Lunber Co. in 1960.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Maxine McKinley, Muncie; a son, Raymond Rogers, Muncie; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lela Robertson, with whom he lived, and Mrs. Dorothy Ward, Vincennes; one step-son, Harley Byers, Muncie; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and 25 step-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Elmer Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
