"Edward Lee ROGERS, 69, 6010 Buena Vista Road, Columbus, died today at St. Francis Hospital. // The funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road, with Masonic burial in Parkhill Cemetery. // He was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Columbus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie C. ROGERS. He had lived in Columbus all of his life and was a retired engineer of 25 years with the Columbus Fire Department. Before city council consolidation, he was on the Muscogee County Rescue Squad. He was also a retired school bus dirver for Muscogee County School District and belonged to Midway United Methodist Church, Columbian Masonic Lodge 7 and the South Columbus Senior Citizens Club. // Survivors include his wife, Roxie Ann; a son, David Allen ROGERS; a daughter, Joanne ROGERS.
