Betty Jean Rogers Age 78, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6th, 2007. She was born in Wenatchee, Washington on October 10, 1928 to Alice (Follette) Allen and Roe Clayton Allen. She attended various schools throughout Washington, including North Puyallup, Wenatchee, Redmond, Kirkland, and Monroe and graduated in Chelan high school 1947. In 1948 she married Arthur Duncan Rogers. They made their first home in Farmer, Washington. Son Robert was born in 1949. Daughter Darci Jean joined the family in 1965, followed by a second daughter, Dawna Joye, in 1966. Betty worked side by side with Art in their orchard, as well as being employed outside their home. Betty worked various jobs through the years including, the Eye & Ear Clinic & Hospital, Starlite Motel, Western Corrugated, and retiring at Tree Top, Inc. In 1999, Betty relocated to Graham, Washington and made her home with her nephews Joachim Perry and Rick Kuhn. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Art, son Bob, and her dearest friend Elisabeth Perry. Betty is survived by daughters Dawna Rogers of Wenatchee, Darci Hahne of Ephrata, and sister Marilyn Riley of East Wenatchee, her nephews Joachim and Rick. She also has a large extended family - numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends. She touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways. She was a member of the Mountain Highway Baptist Church and the Spana Park Senior Center. Betty particularly enjoyed her church family and the pinochle group at the Senior Center Betty was and will forever be our conscience, our rock and our guide. May Betty rest in peace in the arms and comfort of our Lord. Betty's spirit will always be with us. A memorial service will be held in honor of Betty at Mountain Highway Baptist Church on March 24th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with a potluck reception to follow afterwards for all family and friends. Inurnment will be held a Fir Lane Memorial Park in Spanaway.
