Evelyn Gray Rogers, age 83, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Asbury Place of Maryville. She was a 58 year resident of Greenback and a member and elder of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Rogers; parents, George and Minnie Shults Gray; brother, Earl Gray; and parents-in-law, Bessie and James Rogers.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and James Chapman of Louisville and Teresa "Terry" and Ron Becker of Greenback; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kristi and Ben Morgan of Knoxville; granddaughter, Jami Chapman of Twinsburg, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Melody Morgan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Danny Centers of Cleveland, and Jama and Larry Collins of Madisonville; sisters, Betty Millsaps of Knoxville, Kate Anderson of Etowah, and Pat Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Louise Gray of Philadelphia, John and Ruth Gray of Loudon, and Glen and Sandra Gray of Sweetwater; sisters-in-law, Jean Burnett and Ernestine Dilbon of Greenback; 23 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:30 PM Friday, August 6, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Ron Sabo officiating.
