Mary "Louise" Rogers Griffith, age 86 of Farmerville, LA, passed from this life on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Arbor Lake Nursing and Rehab Center in Farmerville. Louise was born on December 21, 1927 in Union County, AR to the late John Malcolm Rogers and Willie (Douglas) Rogers. Louise formerly worked for Junction City school district as a lunch room worker and a school bus driver. She later worked as a security guard for Con Agra before her retirement. Louise loved to cook and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors, whether she was hunting, fishing or tending to her garden, she enjoyed it all. She was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Winfred Griffith; four brothers, Wayne Rogers, Donald Rogers, John Rogers and Paul Rogers; four sisters, Francis Greer, Frankie Meadows, Jeanette Blackmon and Carolyn Burton.
Those left to cherish her memory include; three sons, William Griffith and wife Yvonne of Farmerville, Mike Griffith and wife Sandy of Hot Springs and Brian Griffith and wife Karen of Junction City; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; three brothers, Maurice Rogers and wife Deloys of Downsville, LA, Preston Rogers and wife Faye of Junction City and Lloyd Rogers and wife Rita of Junction City.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Three Creeks Baptist Church, with Bro. Allen Grimmett and Bro. Terry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Three Creeks Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado
