Dennis Michael Roe was born on January 5, 1953 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on September 21, 2011. He is survived by his parents, John W. and Patsy Roe; brothers Don Roe & wife Julie; Steve Roe and wife Susan; sister Melanie Ellis; 4 nephews and 6 nieces. He was a devoted son, husband, uncle, brother and friend. After working 20 years for Southwestern Bell, Dennis moved into Financial Planning and ended his career in sales with Sterling Life Insurance Company. Dennis fulfilled a lifelong dream working together with his father for the past two years at his Sears store In Rockwall. He was a proud member of the 1971 class of Woodrow Wilson High School and 1975 graduate of SMU. He remained active in the Woodrow Wilson Alumni Association and the East Dallas community. As leader of his Woodrow class of '71 reunion committee, he was the impeccably organized and enthusiastic "rock" that guided his fellow committee members and classmates. Dennis loved the Dallas Cowboys, college football, weekly visits to Herrera's, and more than anything, spending time with family and friends. He never missed an opportunity to help others; he was loved and revered by all. Visitation is Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilshire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Road with David Gilmer officiating. Burial will be Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Grove Hill.
