83, of Bluetown entered into rest Sunday, May 2, 2010. She was born on February 21, 1927 in Kennedy, Texas to Jose and Angelita Rodriguez.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lorenzo Cantu of Bluetown, 7 children; Guadalupe (+Hortencia) Cantu and Irene (Jorge) Morado all of Mercedes, Domingo Cantu of Bluetown, Angelita (Roberto) Aguilera of Phoenix, Az., Eminecio (Armandina) Cantu of Santa Maria, Maria Heredia of Bluetown and Gilberto (Sylvia) Cantu of Santa Maria. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and her sisters, Elvira and Josefa Rodriguez both of Harlingen.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 10am to 9pm and a holy rosary will be prayed at 7pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 10:00 am at St. Francis-Xavier Catholic Church and interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Guadalupe Cantu, Jr., Lorenzo Cantu, Domingo Cantu, Gilberto Cantu, Gregorio Cantu and Jonathan Cantu.
Arangement are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of La Feria.
