Pauline Rodgers Dibble, 87, of Gordonsville, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at her residence.
She was born on August 24, 1924, in Mineral, Virginia, the daughter of the late Henry Clayton and Annie May Smith Rodgers and wife of the late Oscar J. Dibble. She was a member of the Gordonsville Baptist Church, charter member of the Gordonsville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and member of the Gordonsville VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Dibble is survived by her daughter, O'Dona D. Doyle of Amelia; two sons, Wayne Dibble and his wife, Sue, of Glen Allen, and Jay Dibble and his wife, Bonnie, of Gordonsville; a brother, Ray Rodgers of Hagerstown, Maryland; eight grandchildren, Jennifer D. Holbrook, Amy D. McCollum, Chris Dibble, Jesse Dibble, Ben Dibble, Ann Dibble, Amy Bryant and Brian Dibble; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment in Maplewood Cemetery conducted by Pastor Danny Dibble. The family will receive friends two hours before the service from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
